Mother’s Perspective on Granada – Good, Bad, Ugly

I have to be cautious when writing about a country that I am only a visitor in.  However, I want my readers to know my genuine experience.  Living in Granada has taught my family so much about what it’s like to live in a completely different atmosphere than the United States.  It has even been a big adjustment from recently living in Costa Rica.

Here’s the whole story:

DB – I like the blogs of Emily Shea. Not sure I agree with everything she says here about Granada but the purpose of my website,, is also to show the good, the bad and the ugly because Nicaragua is not for everyone. We are getting more young families visiting and moving here which I applaud since there are days I can’t handle our dogs, George and Gracie, let alone children.
