As I had mentioned in my previous lesson on PREPOSITION, Spanish prepositions are not as numerous as English prepositions but they serve multipurposes rather frequently. So this lesson will show you those two controversial ones. Let’s start with POR and end with PARA for illustration purposes.
POR serving as through
La luz entró POR la ventana de mi cuarto.
The light entered THROUGH the window of my room.
Volví al centro y di una vuelta POR las calles.
I went back downtown and took a walk THROUGH the center.
